Seakers of Weymouth is delighted to present this Holman and Pye designed Oyster 39.
A powerful, go anywhere ketch, the Oyster 39 combines long distance sailing performance with generous accommodation.
These boats are highly renowned, blue water cruisers, this example has proved herself on the Atlantic circuit and has had over £10,000 spent on her in 2019-20 in order to make her ready for her next trip.
Oyster’s first yacht designed solely for cruising, the 39 is a high volume, centre cockpit ketch, with a comfortable owner’s stateroom aft. She is extremely popular due to her class leading accommodation space, which is remarkable for a yacht of this size.
A centre cockpit with full cockpit tent and solar and wind charging gives the ability to live off grid for extended periods of time.
The boat had a full survey in 2018 and list of work carried out subsequent to that is available.

Broker's view: This classic Blue Water Cruiser has the pedigree of having been there and done it and is primed and ready to go again. All she needs is a couple of coats of antifoul and she is ready to sail the high seas. The upgrades by the current owners have been made through hard experience and Blue Bird is now a safe and comfortable ocean cruising craft. It would be lovely to see the new owners take her back out onto the high seas where she belongs
